Sonora, CA - Dr. Scott Henning has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges stemming from alleged inappropriate contact with a 15 year old girl.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office served a warrant at the 46-year-old dentist's residence and place of business two weeks ago, and he was arrested and taken to County Jail.

Court documents indicate that some of the charges stem from Henning allegedly taking inappropriate pictures or film of a minor who was modeling. The alleged offenses occurred between September 1st and October 30th of last year.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 1 at 1:15pm in Department Four of Tuolumne County Superior Court.

The girl (young woman) was not a patient of Dr. Henning.
"touching a 15 year old" was in the company of other people. Did no one notice?
poor judgement is appropriate to say when it comes to internet contacts, therefore, parents learn to keep children from the internet.

Scott Henning DDS. should not be registered as a sex offender. He has not hurt anyone. Misguilded young women had started the lewd behaviors first. He was in the presence of other people when he was considered touching in a lewd manner. hmmm. How could that be so lewd
Cataloging the far-reaching damage being done under the guise of protecting children, the 146-page report by Human Rights Watch urges an end to residency restrictions, online registries, and the registration of juveniles. Registration in general should be limited to those convicted of serious offenses who represent a demonstrated danger.
"Politicians didn't do their homework before enacting these laws," said Sarah Tofte, one of the researchers involved in the large-scale investigation. "Instead they have perpetuated myths about sex offenders and failed to deal with the complex realities of sexual violence against children.
The well-researched analysis, "No Easy Answers: Sex Offender Laws in the United States," is available at Human Rights Watch’s website, hrw.org.
